Kenneth B. Richards; 66 years old, lifelong resident of Silver Lake, WI passed away Friday June 22, 2012 at his home. He was born September 1, 1945 in Burlington, WI the son of the late Bertram and Marcella “Sally” (Lohaus) Richards, graduating from Holy Name Elementary and Wilmot High School. Ken was a member of Holy Cross Church, Wilmot, an over 42 year member of the Silver Lake Fire Department, a member of the Silver Lake Rescue Squad, and enjoyed: flower gardening and throwing horseshoes. Before his retirement in 2011 Ken had worked for many years at American Motors, Kenosha, WI; Kemper Insurance, Hawthorn Woods, IL; the Village of Silver Lake, and Riverview Elementary School, Silver Lake, WI.

Survivors include: three sisters: Donna (Buddy) Kaskin of Randall, WI, Karen A. (Jerry) Schilz of Silver Lake, WI, and Ellen R. Thom of Madison, WI; eight nieces and nephews: Pamela Kaskin, Kathleen VandenHeuvel, David Kaskin, Craig (Sue) Schilz, Curt (Robin) Schilz, Christine (Cale) Wright, Melissa (Scott) Anderson, and Jason (Jenny) Thom; 15 great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother Norman and nephew Mark Kaskin.

Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Wednesday June 27, 2012 at Holy Cross Church Hwy C and Hwy B Wilmot, WI. Interment will be private in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4PM until 8PM Tuesday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002.
