Dorothy L. Steger, 94 years old of Antioch passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. She was born August 25, 1917 the daughter of the late Henry and Mae (Fenger) Ziebarth in Berwyn, IL. She and her late husband had moved permanently to Antioch in 1972. Dorothy was a member of Heritage Lutheran Church, Lindenhurst, IL and a member of the Northern Illinois Conservation Club. She was a member and had worked as a receptionist for Weight Watchers, Antioch for 24 years. Before her marriage she worked as an operator for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 18 years. On April 30, 1955, she married Thomas Steger at St. Marks Church, Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2002.

Survivors include her sisters, Evelyn Doering and Bonnie Nester; nieces and nephews, Mark (Joan) Doering, Verlyn (Barry) Wiederholt, Shayne (Chris) Doering, and F. Peter (Mary Jane) Nester, III; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12Noon Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Heritage Lutheran Church, 630 Beck Rd., Lindenhurst, IL. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time Saturday at the church.
